The Asylum Seminar and Speaking Schedule:

Chanukah Experience (June 29th from 10:15 pm -12:15 am)

Rabbi Rock: a Messianic Jewish band from Minnesota will be joining the holiday festivities this year by bringing a bit of a Jewish flair to them. Chanukah Experience will not only bring us some Chanukah music to enjoy as part of The Asylum’s Holiday Party, but will also help us all to begin exploring the story of The Maccabees and the first Chanukah resulting from wholehearted obedience and dedication to The Lord.

Communion (June 29th, 30th, July 1st, and 2nd @ 10:00am)

Kodesh Mishkan Minististry Group constitutes the faith and spiritual covering for several of the ministries at Audiofeed Music Festival. Every Morning of the Audiofeed, including on Early Access Day, Ministers of Kodesh Mishkan Ministry Group will be leading an Orthodox Themed Communion Service with the invitation that any who profess faith in Jesus as the promised Savior and Messiah is welcome to participate. There is also an invitation for those who do not profess such faith to attend and learn more if they are so inclined. … In His service and at yours too…

The Battle For Holiness (June 30th, July 1st, and July 2nd @ 11:00)

Ministers from The Asylum’s “mother” ministry will be participating in our teaching theme this year as they present this three part seminar on the role of Holiness in the Spiritual Battlefields of your everyday life; so stick around each morning after Communion to learn of how a heart humbled before Him can grant you victory in some of life’s most difficult struggles

Friday June 30th: Part I: David - Seeing the problem from God's perspective
Saturday July 1st: Part II: Moses - Having Faith amongst the faithless
Sunday July 2nd: Part III: Joshua - Fear not! Godliness at the forefront of Spiritual battles.

Soldier of the Cross

Mike Kerby, a member of the KMMG leadership team and founder of one of The Asylum’s sister ministries - Jesus Outsiders Ministries - will be participating in our teaching theme this year as he presents three related topics in the field of Spiritual Warfare. Part 1: The Soldier’s Kit, Part II: The Way of the Soldier, and Part III: The Spiritual Art of War.

Part I: The Soldier’s Kit (June 30th @ 1:00 pm) Before going into battle, any good soldier learns to use his weapons and armor. In Part 1 of this seminar series, we will be putting Ephesians 6 into historical and spiritual context, helping us to understand the true nature and prescribed use of the tools and weapons of our warfare. .

Part II: The Way of The Soldier (June 30th @ 4:00pm) In Part II of this seminar series, we will be exploring what it means to be Soldiers in His army, for when you accepted jesus as the promised Savior and Messiah, you enlisted into His army. We are not solitary warriors but soldiers in His army..

Part III: The Spiritual Art of War (July 2nd @ 3:00pm) In Part III of this seminar series, we first acknowledge the fact that we are indeed at war! If we are to win, we will need Biblically sound strategy and a truthful understanding of our enemy!

Praying the Will of The Lord (June 30th @ 2:00 pm)

Stephen Jeffrey of the band Reckless Mercy will be teaching on topic with our teaching theme this year as he leads us in exploring Jesus’ words “...not my will, O Lord, but Thine own be done…” Life has a tendency of taking us for a ride and our contentment and joy is often lost as we seek after things of the flesh rather than the Spirit: weather you are a young or old follower of The Lord, we all could do better at placing His will above our own…

Spiritual Warfare Through Creative Expression (June 30th @ 3:00pm)

Tobin Bawinkel of FF56, 6’10”, and The Fat Calf of Cornerstone Festival will be speaking this year on the Spiritual Nature of Creativity. There is an ancient proverb that speaks of the power of creativity to bring mere mortals into the very throne room of the gods; what does that mean today for we who believe in the “One God”?

Havdalah: Welcoming Shabbat (June 30th from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm)

Rabbi Rock: a Messianic Jewish band from Minnesota will be leading us in welcoming the Shabbat on Friday evening of the Festival. For a Jew, Shabbat is all about the Indwelling of the Spirit of The Lord and the Provision He promises in our obedience to Him. Shabbat is a celebration of the Wedding Banquet in that just receiving His invitation is cause to celebrate. Join us in celebrating The Lord, His Promises, and His Provision in every cycle of life!

Shabbat Services and Worship (July 1st from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm)

“... and on the Seventh Day, The Lord rested…” “... and the Seventh Day shall be a day of rest…” “... you shall remember Me and keep The Seventh Day ‘holy’...” In Judaism, we “Go to Church” on Saturday as it is the Seventh Day of the week, and this is what The Lord told us to do. The Lord intended Shabbat as a gift to His people; join us and learn how rest and worship in The Lord can lead to deep joy and abundant peace as we all participate in accepting His invitation for us to join Him together..

Phoenix Documentary, Questions, and Answers (July 2nd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm)

C-U at Home’s Melany Jackson, a 17 year Cornerstone veteran and 4 year AudioFeed veteran as well as a good friend to The Asylum, will be presenting on Homelessness. The Phoenix is a full-length documentary film that tells the story of a local homeless ministry called C-U at Home. Please join us for this powerful film that deals with a variety of issues that are near and dear to all of our hearts and all related to homelessness: Mental illness, Substance Abuse, Criminal justice, Emergency Services, Local Government, and Shelters.

As part of our partnership with C-U at Home’s Melany Jackson at Audiofeed 2017, we will be encouraging any/all festival attendees this year to bring adult men’s socks as a donation to C-U at Home in support of their outreach to the local Homeless… Donation Buckets will be available at The Asylum.

We Accept Donations

For those of you interested donating time, money, or goods to The Asylum Ministries:

1). First and foremost, we need PRAYER - as with any ministry, evil tries very hard to creep into our midst and divide us against one another; this year especially when our teaching theme is "Unity" in the face of the polarizing divides that the peoples of our world are enslaved by...  it is only through the prayers offered up on our behalf that we have been able to come as far as we have; and it will only be due to the prayers continuing that we will be able to continue to travel onward in our journey of ministry...

2) Candles - Last year, we committed to 100% of our festival lighting coming from candles rather than electricity...  while we can use electricity, the candles really go a long way toward capturing the ambiance that The Asylum is known for.  At this point many of our larger candle holders and candelabra are showing the signs of their age and could really use replacing...

3) Coffee Shop - Our Entire setup is geared toward the look and feel of a coffee house...  we do not charge a single penny for our services - but still Cups, Stirring Straws, Sugar, Creamer, Coffee. Drink Mixes, and Tea...  all cost money that we raise through financial donations and merchandise we sell at the Festival...  Coffee alone costs us upwards of $300 each year...  Sugar and Creamer will be another $100 easily...

4) Kitchen - We began a kitchen to feed our staff, volunteers, bands. and speakers; but this also costs money which we need to raise through donations and merchandise sales...  In years past, our kitchen has been supported by the lending/donation of camp stoves and grilling equipment, kitchen utensils, totes/cooler of food and bottled water, and a donation in our tip jars on the grounds...

5)  The Asylum is in need of new fabric...  We will be renting a 60x40 tent this year and line every panel of every wall, if possible, with Black Fabric - much of what we had in previous years has either been worn out or damaged by humidity and storms...  This means we need at least 200 ft of 10 ft high fabric....

6) Artwork - Our decor from year to year is heavily reliant on the artists in our network donating/loaning their work out to us for use in and around our tent...  If you are such a patron or artist who would like to help The Asylum look its best this year, then please get in touch with us

7) Decorations - as a ministry, we are trying very hard to shift from the cheap/cheesy Halloween decor to a more classy decor...   we make do every year with whatever The Lord blesses us with, but our desire is to put on a display of elegance, class, and sophistication that demonstrates for all who see the "Best" of what Goth culture has to offer...  everything from our Haunted Forest to the Cemetery to the Courtyard... Everything from the Outside to the Inside... From the candles, to candelabras, to hanging fabric, to paintings, to cobwebs, to chandeliers...   but none of this is possible without donations from our dedicated patrons, time given by our staff and volunteers to set up and decorate our tent, and energy given day after day keeping things maintained from picking  up trash to cleaning tables to changing candles that have burnt up...

8) The Asylum's greatest expense from year to year is currently The Asylum @ AudioFeed Music Festival...  This year's tent is looking to cost us roughly $2900...   this is a slight increase over the last few years as we are separating our stage and coffeehouse into separate tent this year...  additionally we are looking to publish a booklet much like the ones some of us remember from Cornerstone Festival to be handed out for free at the gates this year which based on festival attendance and recommended printing counts will run us between $1500 and $2000...

If you have plans or desire toward donations to the Asylum, then please let us know so we can update our inventory sheets and figure out what we still do/don't need...  IF you need a receipt for your taxes from your donation, then please let us know when you make your donations so we can promptly get that to you for your records...  Thank You all and The Lord Bless...
